NEW DELHI: The Center on Thursday announced new governors for Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Nagaland. The governor of Tamil Nadu, Banwarilal Purohit, was transferred to the Punjab while the governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi, replaced Purohit.
The governor of Assam, Jagdish Mukhi, will hold the additional office of Nagaland, according to a statement from Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Purohit already held the additional charge of the Punjab. In addition to his duties as governor of Punjab, he has now been appointed administrator of Chandigarh.
